How do I know my pickup day?


Your service day will be provided to you after sign-up. This day is subject to change as we grow and learn, but our goal is to minimize alterations to your pickup schedule. In addition, you will receive a text reminder the day prior to your service day each week.




How do I get my first bucket?


After signing up, a clean bucket with lid will be dropped off at the location you provided in the sign-up form. This will occur one week prior to your first pickup and you will receive a notification when the bucket has been dropped.




Will my bucket smell bad?


Depending on what is in your food waste, your bucket could have a mild odor when the lid is off. However, with the lid sealed tightly on the bucket there should be no lingering odor in your home. In addition, weekly pickups will limit the time that the food waste sits in your bucket.




What if I live outside of Florissant?


Please go ahead and reach out to us via chat or email with your location. We may expand to other North County locations depending on interest. If you are from an area of St. Louis that has other compost pickup services, we would be happy to connect you with one of our fellow organizations.




Will I receive a return of composted soil from my food waste?


Every spring customers will have the opportunity to opt-in for an annual finished compost return. Finished compost will be dropped off in a Componic bucket along with a clean bucket for food waste on a regular pickup day.




What is the cost?


The Weekly Home Pickup service is $20/month.
